Privacy

GDPR is about the right to privacy and to decide over one's own personal information. Questions and issues related to privacy then also arise in almost all areas of society and in all sectors, and it is a topic that concerns us all.

After the new Personal Data Act came into force in 2018, respect for and awareness of privacy has increased. As private individuals, we are more concerned with protecting our own personal information, and many companies have made a large and important effort to ensure that the regulations are followed in their own business.

Nevertheless, we see that the need for privacy advice among companies is still great. Violation of the privacy rules can result in large fines, and perhaps more importantly - loss of reputation. At the same time, we know that if the regulations are handled correctly, the use of personal information and new technology can offer many exciting opportunities and contribute to innovation and value creation for the company. That is why it is so important that all companies make sure that they have processes and routines in place that ensure that they comply with the regulations at all times. These should be revised and updated regularly in line with societal developments, developments in regulations and activity in one's own company.

Our privacy experts can, among other things, assist with the following:
  • mapping of the company's processing of personal data
  • needs analysis - what does your business need to comply with the regulations?
  • establishment of internal control, routines and guidelines
  • preparation of privacy documentation, including;
  • protocols
  • privacy statements and consent statements
  • data processor agreements
  • use of customer information in marketing
  • non-conformance handling (notification to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, etc.)
  • transfer of personal data abroad
  • privacy in the workplace (access to email, IT instructions, etc.)
  • handling requests from data subjects (access, deletion, correction, etc.)
  • risk assessments
