Svensson Nøkleby and Drammen Chamber of Commerce invite you to the Employer Day on Tuesday, May 13, from 08:00 to 14:00 in Børsens festlokaler. We're bringing together some of Norway's leading experts to shed light on and discuss the most challenging issues in today's working life. How can companies recruit, develop and retain the right employees? How do you create a collaborative climate and culture in the workplace that ensures sustainable solutions in the event of illness?
These seemingly simple questions raise complex political and legal issues on which there are different views. At the same time, they are crucial for both working life and our society, especially at a time when competition for skilled employees is fierce. In some sectors, almost one in ten are on sick leave. This puts pressure on support schemes that have been developed and improved over decades, and which are among the best in the world for employees. The cost of sick leave means that small and medium-sized companies in particular are reluctant to hire, or simply do not have the finances to do so. As a result, many people who could be contributing to the workforce find themselves out of work. The seriousness of the situation is underlined by the fact that around 22,000 people at their most productive age (18-29 years) are permanently out of work as disability pensioners.
This is a vicious circle that must be broken. That is why we have gathered some of Norway's foremost experts to discuss solutions and share practical advice from different disciplines and perspectives. Kristina Birkelund Renstrøm and Camilla Onshuus from our employment law team will host the event and guide you through the day. The full program can be found below. We already have around 120 registered participants, and the number of seats is limited. Secure your ticket now by signing up via the Chamber of Commerce's website here Arbeidsgiverdagen.
